  1. While pilot convinced me this was a good show, it was this episode that convinced me that to watch this show every single week. If this episode didn’t exist I don’t think I ever would have become a fan of the show. At the time my favorite thing about this episode was in how well it split its to developing the main characters and one shot character. Over the course of show I look back back in this episode how well it depicts the change to Regina’s character since casting the curse. No, I don’t mean comparing how she was portrayed then to how she is being depicted now. Their is a change is an when you compare her enchanted forest counterpart to the storybrook counterpart in season 1. This was the episode that I would have recommend it to you, but I was hesitant since I in terms of the overall story it wasn’t important. Regardless I will always considered this one of the best episodes in the show.

    • Sorry we didn’t approve this sooner. Just saw it! We were just talking about how much all versions of Regina have changed since season one when recording the next commentary tonight. It’s fun to see the subtleties of the performances get adjusted over time, especially after seeing the newer episodes.
